Ernesto Neto
In a recent email from Anisa Phillips, a fellow Anthropologie display coordinator turned good friend, I was introduced to Ernesto Neto. She added a photo of one of his installations at the end of the email for a positive lift to the day (said she, "ps. utter glee happiness love---> one of my FAVORITE images ever from one of my heroes, Ernesto Neto"), and I couldn't be happier that she did. His work is fun, quirky, and out of any sort of recognizable world, but doesn't lack serious undertones. Sometimes, the work nearly consumes the viewer. Here are some images I found after a little research.
