Ernesto Neto

In a recent email from Anisa Phillips, a fellow Anthropologie display coordinator turned good friend, I was introduced to Ernesto Neto. She added a photo of one of his installations at the end of the email for a positive lift to the day (said she, "ps. utter glee happiness love---> one of my FAVORITE images ever from one of my heroes, Ernesto Neto"), and I couldn't be happier that she did. His work is fun, quirky, and out of any sort of recognizable world, but doesn't lack serious undertones. Sometimes, the work nearly consumes the viewer.
